New Chair

I realized recently that I had no place to sit to comfortably put on my shoes, plop down, etc, so I bugged the girls for a few days until I found the perfect chair.

catching up

I realized I haven't caught up on pictures in a bit, so here we go!

 

Two weekends ago I regrouted my kitchen! It was a ton of work, but well worth it because everything looks so clean now!

 

I did a great bike ride on the Bay Bridge to Treasure Island!

Today my coworker gave me cherry blossoms from her back yard and said, "You will be my Valentine and I love you". Three years ago I would never have expected to have found such a strong "family" among a group of people with whom I do not share a language or culture, but I have and I am blessed!

Mom and Dad come Thursday: I'm so excited!

New Ride

I bought a new, less fancy bike to ride for errands! I'm calling her Fern because she is a sweet older lady and is green and brown. 

 

One less car on the road, many more and easier trips!

My legs are so sore

And so powerful!! I had a great night at the gym Friday, then a beautiful trail run (sans phone, so no photos) Saturday and a long-ish, really hilly bike ride today. We gained about 4000' of elevation!

Thank goodness for good food to recover!  I'm going to go stretch!

Matter of Balance

I'm teaching a fall prevention/empowerment class and today was our third day. I have brought healthy snacks (crackers, fruit) each day and today one of the participants brought treats she had made! So great!

Being an auntie is the best

Tonight I got to paint Aya's nails, help May in the bath, and scare Steven by hiding out under his covers for at least 20 minutes until he came to bed. He and Benjamin were in and out twice without seeing me and somehow Aya didn't give me away by giggling!

Steven was surprised but not scared, so I'll call that a success!
