Bright lights, big city!

I came into the city from Little Tokyo the other day, which I had not done before, right as the sun was setting.  It looked a bit better before this, but I had to get off of the bridge I was on to pull over!

Sunday afternoon I went to a rooftop party right around the corner from my house.  I was so excited to try out the panoramic feature on my phone and got a few cool pictures!

Pretty neat! xoxo

Table for...

One! I love Friday in the city! I'm at Bottega Louis enjoying people watching and awaiting dinner. After dinner? One of their famous desserts, of course!

PS: note my beautiful new vintage handbag! Thank you, Kristen!!!

Evening commute

LA traffic is no joke. This is traffic at 8:55pm. Top speed on my drive home? 27 in a 65. I just want to have dinner and go to bed!

"It tastes like green"

Josh, my coworker, has a juicer and a sweet concern for my non-digestion of leafy greens. So....he juiced a bag of spinach, two bunches of kale, four green apples, four cucumbers, some bok choy, two heads of broccoli, and a lemon into about 5 bottles. Hopefully this will do good for my belly! It sure is bright!

Preston

This is Preston: I often see him on my way into work. So cute!
Make it a great day!!

A little slice of heaven

There were little vignettes like this everywhere!
This was the best birthday I've ever had. Catalina is a lush greenhouse on which live some of the most relaxed people I've ever met (who wouldn't be-you get to do what you love and live in paradise). Para sailing was one of the most exhilarating and relaxing things I've ever done, zip lining was really fun, and wandering around enjoying everyone else's good mood made mine even better.
Thank you all for the birthday love!! Xoxo

It really is a greenhouse climate!
Sittin' on the dock, watching the tide roll away....

This is Jose-he didn't feel like climbing the steps. Sooo fun!

All of the roads (terraces) are built into the sides of the hills. I can't believe how green and misty/mysterious it is!
The Catholic church had really vibrant stained glass with some very fitting themes!
I was trying to get a picture of the seal who was playing outside of the marina, but got this ....battleship(?) instead.
Not too sunny, but still really beautiful.

Filled with Joy

Is this what they call a face-splitting grin? Sooo happy after para sailing. That was the coolest thing I've ever done! A fellow sailer took pictures, but I won't get them for a month or so! Best.birthday.ever!!

Life is wonderful!!

A few pictures of Avalon as we pulled in. Also, my delicious lunch. Zip lining was super fun and now I'm waiting for para sailing!

Birthday boat!

All motion sickness precautions taken and I'm on my way!!

See and be seen

Made my way over to the Hollywood Farmers' Market on Sunday.  This is, according to my patient, the place to go to see and be seen in LA on Sunday morning.  After a detour onto Hollywood Blvd (walk of fame!), I spent 2 hours drifting among the stalls of fresh (some organic) veggies and fruit, different breads and meats, and random, good-smelling food.  I will be going back for sure!

I neglected to take a picture of everything I got (and now I've eaten a good portion of it), but trust me-it was beautiful!

I still loove sweet peas!

How could I resist?

P.S--did you get to see the Venus Eclipse?  I saw it in a telescope that a random man had set up on a street corner in LA.  Talk about once in a lifetime!
